New locomotive: TMB Class 6000

The Class 6000 is formed by 10 trainsets, built by CAF to increase the subway line #1 capacity. The first of them was pulled from Sabadell train station to Catalunya train station (Barcelona), where was moved into the subway network using the rail switch of that station. This class is the first to be adapted for spanish rail system (1668 mm rail width).

Each of the trainsets is formed by five cars, four of them equipped with four engines each for an output of 675 kW in each car. The whole trainset is able to carry up to 1117 passengers, and has a total length of 86.17 meters.
