New locomotive: Renfe Serie 318

This was a series of 24 diesel-electric locomotives, used to pull freight trains. As the class 316 gave good results, RENFE decided to purchase more locomotives, but with increased power, composing the 318 class. These locomotives are now retired or sold to other countries.

This locomotives have 1477 kW of power and a maximum speed of 105 Km/h. They had the nickname of «Alcos» due to its american manufacturer name (ALCO).

This locomotive has been coded as a freight locomotive, available since 1958. A length of 7 has been used, so it's a bit shorter than standard engines (8).
